About CITARC

The Caltech Amateur Radio Club is one of the oldest organizations on campus at Caltech. It was founded in 1919 with the advent of amateur radio and continues as one of the strongest student organizations on campus today. We have approximately 75 licensed members coming from the graduate and undergraduate student bodies, faculty, staff, alumni, retirees of the Institute and JPL staff and community members.

We maintain a state of the art amateur radio station in Winnett Student Center on campus as well as a (CLOSED) 440 MHz FM repeater and autopatch. We have many activities and contests throughout the year for members to participate in as well as use of the station.

Use of the station is limited to licensed members, but all are welcome to join the club.

If you have further questions, you can contact our president Paul, N6LL, our secretary/treasurer Mike Tope, W4EF.
