Please read the original article enclosed and tell me you do believe
the author is from the "best school in China". The abundance of grammatical
and spelling error together with total lack of coherence demonstrated in the
quoted article will only prove the exact opposite to which the author was to
claim. I am surprised to see such poor command of English language which
seems to be quite rare among ustc graduates unless it was meant to be a joke.

Dear Alumni,

Recently there is a debate in the USTC bulletine board on
which university is better. I'd like to share with you the
following article which probably represents the feelings
of many USTC alumni.

Have a nice day.

I have logged in this borad for a relatively long time, when I return I quess

probably I have missed a big chance to talk with my schoolates about

keda and china in the future. I hope it's not too late.

I still remenbered that when I was in the higher school, in Jiang

Shu Huai ying MIddle Schhool, a member garduated from that school

of Chinese socail science academy gave us a lecture about his life

in thirties in that higher school. I even forgot his name but ione thing

for sure I can remeber is that he said, you , the graduates coulsd

make the difference if you worked hard and left some achiements behind.

Comparing with other students from other universoties, some of them

are my good friends, I spent one more year in the school and did

have a harder time thatn them. But I don't care, I respected my

own choice, and this self-respect allows me proudly introduce

myself that I am from USTC, as well as China, mainland China.

I read the message of #492, I do remeber the words, poor Qinghua,

rich Beda, broudless to Keda. I quess many friends of mine from

USTC still felt proud when we talked about the last word that's the

word encouraging to me to face different of obstacles.

I respect the school, the professors, the friends, and my own effort,

if keda is literally the first I don't care. No matter when and wheer

I can proundly say I love KEDA, that's enough. If lots of the

guys here have the same feelings as me, stop auguing, do something.

In USA, the situation is different from home, many foreign people

don't know anything about the universities in china. But if you

do well, in one way you can tell them chinese students are the best,

in another way you can also earn some reputation for keda. So, guys,

come on. Students from USTC should not be an isolated group, they

should be in the leading group.

Sometimes when I introduce USTC to colleagues, I talked about the

unique history , educational system , so many students in excellent

U.S universities, the lives in china, even this bulletin board,

they get the conclusion easily, University O f Science And Technology

of China is an excellent science university in china. They will

try to tell me something they know about keda or possiblly some

persons the know from USTC, even I doubt about theat. Anyway,

instead of arguing in this board, we really have a lot of things to do.

Here we organized a party for chinese people around our campus for

the mid-fall festival. Let's strengthen ourselves first and then

we never will have the time to talk about which university id the best

in China, you have already proved it. And more important you will

prove chinese students are good.

I expect future china will need sophicated people in every field,

one day you will be the leader in China, be prepared. I expect

the china to be the best in the world, also I expect the USTC to

be the best in China through my and many other people's strifes.

So come on, guys, never give up. Do something, make the difference.

Always,

Your friend from New York.
