A former Kalamazoo student told me that Cui Jian's girl friend is the
daughter of the provost of Kalamazoo college, They met when the girl
went to study at Beijing University. They had a son but are
not married. The provost joked that he already had a "son-out-law".
If you read all the lyrics in the album "Solution", I bet you would
agree that all his inspiration come from his affair with the Kalamazoo
girl. :-)
