Caltech Swedish Club
This is the home page of the
Caltech Swedish Club.
For whom?
The Caltech Swedish Club is essentially a social networking club for swedes (and scandinavians in general) at Caltech.
Om du kan läsa det här är du säkert
intresserad av vår grupp.
What and when?
The Club does not have regular meetings, and today largely serves as a way for scandinavians at Caltech to find out about each other existence. We have an informal mailing list, and try to get together for coffee, dinner, a movie or a game of kubb once or twice a week. We also try to help newly arrived scandinavians with practical things.
If you are interested in meeting us, or have questions, send a line to sverige at its.caltech.edu . Ha det!
Other Scandinavian activities in the LA area
None that I know of right now. Check out the Swedish consulate's
monthly calendar of Swedish events on the West coast though.

Other Scandinavian Groups in Los Angeles
The Norwegian Seamen's Church in San Pedro (1035 S Beacon St. (310)832-6800)
has one Norwegian and one Swedish priest stationed there.
They have Swedish and Norwegian newspapers that one can read
for free.
Potentially useful pointers
We have collected pointers to various things of possible interest
to people interested from Scandinavia.
These sites do not necessarily represent
the opinions of the Caltech Swedish Club; they are only provided
here for convenience. Suggestions for additions are welcome.
Because of the explosion of the web in Sweden and the other Nordic
countries we can no longer list everything but try to point to some of the
more interesting sites and also supply pointers to search sites and
good "meta-sites", i.e. sites which have lists of pointers to other sites.
