Note: subsequent meetings take place at a time and date to be decided--probably Tuesday evenings.
We will read the literature on ion channels, receptors, and transporters. Newcomers to Caltech will be interested in knowing that (a) this is the first course in a cycle of graduate reading/seminar courses that prepare graduate students for the qualifying exams (and for research) in neurobiology, and (b) all interested people--undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, staff--are welcome, but full participation is required: an oral presentation, a paper, and class discussions.
Prerequisite: Bi 150 or a good story.
