SSH (Secure Shell) Remote Login Program

I wrote up this page because I had a hard time finding SSH clients around for different platforms that didn't require money.

Please mail me if you have any others or changes/updates so that I can keep this page as current as I can.

Where can I get client programs for SSH?

A free unix version for non-commercial use is available from ftp.cs.hut.fi:/pub/ssh. Commercial versions (which include patent licenses) are available from Data Fellows. The Unix version works on almost all unix variants, including at least the following:

Windows:

F-Secure SSH for Windows is available from Data Fellows. It runs on all versions of Windows (3.11, 95, NT) using any WINSOCK-compatible TCP/IP stack. Requires money or use a evaluation copy for 30days. See http://www.datafellows.com/f-secure for more information.
TTSSH is an SSH extension to TeraTerm Pro. This is a nice little Win95 terminal program that's freeware and works well. The SSH part comes from a site in Australia to avoid US cryptography export laws.
Cigaly. This is a port of SSH to windows. Both 16bit and 32bit versions are available for free, but only the binaries, not the source. Reportedly not that stable (I haven't checked myself). There are a mirror site at Geocities.
FiSSH is a free Windows 95 and WinNT 4.0 SSH client. You need to find, download and compile Peter Gutmann's crypto DLL for this to run.
SecureCRT is a commercial SSH client for Win95/WinNT that you can get with a 30 trial license after which you need to pay for it.
Therapy. This is an SSH client that I know nothing about. Looks to be version 0.2. Seems to be a win32 port of the free SSH sources.
This is a command-line win32 port of the ssh package. Includes fun things like scp support and stuff that a lot of the other ssh clients don't have. Looks like a port of version 1.2.24
sos@prospect.com.ru has ported version 1.2.23 to the Cygnus gnu-win32 environment. WinNT server and client and a Win95 client are available. Diff files can be downloaded at this ftp site. Precompiled binaries are also available for win32 here. Here are some instructions on how to install and run a SSH daemon (sshd) on windows NT.

Data Fellows has a Macintosh version available. See http://www.datafellows.com/f-secure for more information.
BetterTelnet is getting close to adding SSH support. The new beta version beta has hooks and should come out with a patch to this version once full SSH support is finished. This is also freeware (NOTE: the ssh patch distribution has been temporarily halted)
niftytelnet You can't use this in the US because of a conflict with an RSA patent.

OS/2:

A freeware OS/2 version is availabe. It was written by Robert Muchsel <muchsel@acm.org>. No support is available for this version; however, people on the ssh-os2 mailing list may be able to provide some help. The OS/2 version is available from ftp.cs.hut.fi:/pub/ssh/os2. Client seems to work fine but last I checked, the server didn't run.

Amiga:

There are actually two different versions for Amiga, one written by Magnus Lilja , and one by Ulrich Flegel (available from Aminet).
