DNA-Mediated Electron Transfer

Research in DNA charge transport chemistry focuses on (1) elucidating the fundamental mechanisms and kinetics of electron transport through DNA, and (2) examining the role charge transport through DNA may play in vivo, particularly with respect to how and where DNA is damaged in the genome and how DNA damage may be sensed and repaired. DNA mediated charge transport may provide a mechanism for long range signalling.
