Bookplates for Booksellers

I've been getting a number of requests from bookstores around the country, to come and do signings. While this is terribly flattering, and I do enjoy doing signings and meeting readers--I do have novels to write, kids to feed, and a husband who drag-races (which means I need to be available now and again to sit in the car and turn it on while he crouches on the pavement, anxiously looking for oil-drips, sparks, and other untoward phenomena. He assures me the car is not going to explode when I turn it on, even if it does sound that way).

Now, I realize (or at least I hope) that a signature is not really an equitable substitute for my presence, but it might be better than nothing. And I do order bookplates by the thousand, and I do have the nice pen with the gold-plated nib...besides, signing bookplates is a really good excuse to watch movies on video, which I otherwise don't get to do.

Anyway, if you are the owner/manager/etc. of a bookstore, and happen to have a few customers who you know are fond of my books-- or if you're doing "events" that my books would fit suitably into--well, let me know how many signed bookplates you think you might need, and I'll be happy to ship them out to you. (I'm assuming that this offer won't result in a deluge of requests for zillions of bookplates--if so, I might have to alter it somewhat, since I do have the novels to write, kids to feed, etc. But if the number seems manageable--fine!)

Diana's bookplates have a self adhesive back, and look like that pictured below (if she's still using the same one). Bookplate requests should be sent to:

Diana Gabaldon
10810 N. Tatum Blvd. #102-321
Phoenix, AZ 85028

Please note that requests for bookplates go through Diana directly. Unfortunately, I cannot help you out with tracking an order or forwarding an e-mail order to Diana.
