NewsLocal rides GPS mapping: share the data!August 8, 2006 - Where's the Rose Bowl?
One other newcomer in the list of GPS-mapped rides: Big Tujunga Canyon Road. It's a very nice ride that deserves to be checked out even though it is not the most convenient to get to. Note that it is different from the more famous Upper Big Tujunga Canyon that I have been too lazy to ride to recently for mapping! See all the rides with links to the maps and all from the rides description page. Still no mountain bikers with data? e-mail me what you have! -Christophe
I also have data for Little Tujunga canyon so I'll post that soon! -Christophe September 29, 2005
Get in touch if you are interested in giving a hand. If you'd like to lead some rides, check out the Rides page for ideas and routes for both road and mountain bikes. More routes with ratings coming soon... Don't forget to check out the road conditions before you head out on the trails... see the older announcement below. Local roads status
Latest announcements: http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/angeles/ Road conditions: http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/angeles/conditions/conditions-road.shtml For detailed information on which roads are closed, see the LA County Department of Public Works page at: http://www.ladpw.org/rmd/roadclosure You'll find most of our favorite roads listed there (GMR, Big T, little T, Chaney...) :( Club InformationSo you like riding your bike but don't want to always be on your own? Or you want to go places you've never heard of before? Well, this is the place to start! The club manages three mailing lists you can (should) use to advertize your rides. It's real easy: 1. sign-up; 2. send an email when you want to go riding. Just say where, when, for how long and how easy/hard to ride is going to be. And if all goes as it's supposed to, people will show up :)
