Introduction

The Caltech Chinese Association (Caltech C), founded in 1988, is nonpolitical, nonprofit and independent organization with the purpose to promote friendship and cultural interaction.

Caltech C is generally exempt from federal income tax under certain Internal Revenue Code.  These programs include membership and social activities such as new year party, beach party.  Caltech C also provides a significant service to its members and Caltech community in the form of social event and cultural promotion.

The principle sources of funding for Caltech C's activities include revenues generated from all sorts of grants and donations.  Most of revenues are generated within Caltech community such as Caltech Y, ISP, or Alumni.

Note: a) all the numbers if not specified are approximated according to the experiences from last committees, whose helps are highly appreciated and benefited by all of us; b) this time, the fund raising job is different from last term and could be crucial, since we may not get enough money from some organizations, but we may gain a little bit more from membership fee, to which amount Cer's could accept based on the surveys; c) we may have to save some money for the Chinese New Year Party, which is money-consuming, for the next term.
