Pre-Med Drop In Hours: Each Wednesday, 4-5 p.m.

Students who wish to begin medical school immediately after receiving a bachelor's degree need to begin their preparation early, as soon as Fall Term of their freshman year. Most Caltech graduates who have gone on to medical school have been in biology, however, at least one graduate in each division has also been successful. While there is no magical formula which will ensure admission to your first choice of school and program, there is a general profile of successful applicants to MD programs.

For MD/Ph.D. programs all of the same criteria apply, plus students need to have significant research experience and meet the requirements for graduate school admission. Come into the Career Center soon to find out more about applying to medical school.
