If
all interview slots on a schedule have been reserved, a pink overflow sheet
is placed on top of the interview schedule sheet(s). Write your name and
other information on the overflow sheet and place your resume in the folder.
However, do not add your name to the overflow list unless you meet all
of the company requirements. If slots become available due to cancellations
or the company decides to add an additional schedule, the CDC will notify
you. In addition, if there are several qualified candidates on the Overflow
Sheet, we can contact the company to see if they can bring another recruiter
or stay longer during the day.
Even if you don't get an interview, put your resume in the folder. The company recruiters are given these resumes to take back with them. You may also wish to make a note of the recruiter's name and the company address and phone so you can contact him/her personally. A good course of action is to send a letter to the recruiter (or include one in the folder with your resume if there is enough time) which explains that you were not able to secure an interview but you are still very interested in the company. Include your resume with this letter. If the company is nearby you may be able to interview at the company site, or they may be willing to interview you over the phone.
