Either you quickly run in behind the defenders' goal, or you recieve a pass there, usually the best thing to do is to pass straight out, as close to the goal posts as possible. Your pass should go either past defenders standing right next to the crease, to one of your fellow attackers who moves in from behind and shoots immediate, or directly to a fellow attacker standing next to the crease. In the latter case, less experienced defenders are prone to slash or tie down the attacker's stick, thus causing a penalty shot. Sometimes they will even interfere with the attacking player, thus causing a penalty shot plus a two minute team penalty.
