There are many different ways to get involved in Amnesty International and human rights work! There are numerous local

in the Southern California area, which are engaged in addressing a wide range of human-rights issues around the world, and which also offer a context for pursuing one's own specific interests and concerns. In addition there are several teams focussed on specific issues:

Refugee Monitor Team, for monitoring conditions in local INS detention facilities (and related issues)
Women's Committee
Death Penalty Team
